Secure Glass
Tempered Glass is a type of safety glass treated by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength.
Tempering puts the outer surfaces to compress and the interior into tension. Such stress causes the glass to disperse into blunt, pebble-like pieces, rather than sharp shards of traditional glass when they break. The blunt, pebble-like pieces are less likely to cause injury. Tempered glass is 5 times harder than ordinary oat glass and can withstand abrupt temperature change to 220C.
